Will somebody explain to me how this invention will do away with jobs? You have people on the design team who've invented it, you got people in a factory making it, you got a driver? in each machine, you got all the people maintaining it, seems to me you've got the same amount of people doing the same job as you would with f**king lawn mower if not more! From my experience with Robots in factories I know they need constance maintance that means more work for the parts shops,, get a grip people!!

@PcRoX123hackedACC You're an idiot just like everyone else that tries to say this like it's a bad thing. We WANT to automate work; it's cheaper and frees up labor for other ventures. If this were such a bad thing, why don't we get rid of all of our assembly lines/machines and go back to digging with shovels and hand-sewing our clothes... cause jobs are "sooooo great huuurrr". Live in your world with? pointless labor, I'll live in the one where all the work is partitioned off to machines kthx.

@PirateDion If everything is free and done for us how long would it be before we turn into fat slobs and die out from lack of stimulation and heart failure? Where would the challanges come from that stimulate mans interlect? We have devolped bigger brains because of challanges to life! Where would be the piont/challange of inventing new things if all you need to do sit back and relax? Who would invent new medication? You're talking about a very? sophisticated Robot there and who's invented that?

@PirateDion the reason we apply monetary values is because how else would we live? How would you pay your rent/mortgage without cash? How would you purchase your car/motorbike/pushbike also, how would you have us pay bus fare ? Can you imagine the queue building up while you barter the price of a few stops?? Further, how would you pay? people to design/build the automation you speak of in the first place? You still haven't explained how people would fill their days and gain their self worth!

@thefourthfunkateer The? reason why we need to use money is because we apply monetary values to things. If everything was automated then resources wouldn't be necessary to monetize. We could automate construction of our goods too. Further if you build things with the intent of having them recyclable then we wouldn't have to worry about people hoarding things as we can recycle the old and get the new instead of hoarding material products to give value to our effort in life.

I hate how people ...
I hate how people say it takes away jobs. No it doesn't. The jobs get relocated to other sectors. Someone had to design the equipment, someone had to build it, someone has? to use it, and someone has to maintain it. This is why you're living in a first world country and not a developing one. It forces people to get an education. If it were people running around with mowers and and brooms and brushes they would be low paying jobs. More tax $ gets put back into the economy with high skill jobs

yeah, how much money's it gonna cost to make? how much traffic is this massive thing? gonna cause? how many people are gonna loose their jobs? how will this effect the economy? how long before assistance will arrive to tow it out in case it breaks down? it's like we don't think about the effect these new "improvements" in technology is going to make. just like MrXispas said, those are 2.000.000 people we need, we're in a recession, we don't need another depression.

And don't say we can all do whatever we want because you need money to do whatever we want! simple equation job means money...no job=no money! Unless you propose we all live on state benefits for the rest of our lives! Here's another equation no jobs = no taxes paid therefore no money for state benefits ! A fact of? life is the human needs a job to give him a purpose for living,, to make him feel worthwhile. Even millionares work!
